A career woman that is getting married has all kinds of decisions when it comes to creating the perfect wedding that will compliment her style and still show that she has style that fits her career. On the other hand, this is her day, and she want to choose something completely different that will show she has another side beside the office girl everyone knows.

The best thing is that women have the opportunity to save a bit of money when looking for their special wedding dress and that is purchasing the dress from last year’s stock instead of the ones that are popular today. This does not mean that the dress will not be beautiful and of course will certainly not look out dated. As a matter of fact, you could wear your mother’s wedding dress and just have some alterations done to give it your own unique style.
Of course, the wedding dress you choose must also match the venue you have chosen for the wedding. If you have chosen a beach wedding, then you want a dress that will not be quite as fancy as one that you would wear at a church or ballroom.
Today, you can choose from a variety of locations for weddings and the location will often help you decide the type and style of wedding dress you will want to wear or even if you need a wedding dress. Today, couples get married parachuting out of airplanes, in hot air balloons, in the forest, on the beach, at churches, in their own backyard, and so many other locations that choosing your wedding dress may be a bit more difficult than you might think until you choose the location.
Even the color of the dress, is very important as there are so many to choose from that are plain with just a few beads to very fancy with flowing ruffles and long trains. The choice of color should blend well with your own skin tone instead of being the basic white like is traditional. The traditional wedding gown is not what it used to be, which gives brides many more options as to the gown they choose.
The newest trend is that the bridesmaids do not wear the same dress or color either. Many brides are giving them options such as asking them to wear something that is pinkish. This allows the bridesmaids to have various pink colors and even styles of dresses they wish to wear which will certainly make the wedding more unique and personal than the old fashioned ones where all the bridesmaid wore those ugly chiffon dresses that matched that certainly did not compliment them at all.
