Five Beauty Habits that Are Often Overlooked by Career Girls
When the words “beauty habits” are mentioned these days, they seem to just revolve around make up tricks and fancy creams and lotions. What seems to be lost in the loop is that beauty habits are not limited to the skin on your face, and can be done without resorting to expensive daily routines. Career girls know that presentation is everything, but are they missing out on a few things in their daily routine?
Here are five beauty habits that are often overlooked by women everywhere!
- SPF – Being inside the office may keep you out of the sun, but there is nothing wrong with an extra level of protection. Even when applying makeup with sun protection, you would usually be swindled of your daily recommended needs since these do not support sun protection as its main purpose. Pick up a sunscreen lotion for your face and body. It may be a step extra in your morning routine, but it will save you so much money in anti-aging products later on.
- Hands – It is important to keep your hands soft and nice to the touch if you intend to shake on a lot of deals. It is not enough to have manicured or clean nails, put a small container of honey wax balm in your bag to massage your hands with when you have time.
- Eyes – Eye contact is a form of confidence that can show many things – sincerity, ambition, and dedication are some of them. Make sure that you take care of it! Countless sleepless nights and stressful deadlines can make them look worn out, so be career girls should be more mindful of this facial feature. No amount of concealer and make up can cover a tired pair. Make sure to get enough sleep, and as an added bonus, drop some rose water on your eyes every night to clear it of impurities. Cucumber or cool teabags on closed eyes can relax and moisten the muscles around the eyes.
- Inner Beauty – You may not have enough time to attend hours of charity work, but it is no excuse to completely veer away from working on your inner beauty. Kindness and generosity whenever you find the chance will come back to you two fold. The career ladder can be a dog eat dog world, and doing something for others can help you break away from it all. It may be something as simple and convenient as committing to a monthly donation for worthy causes, or a bigger undertaking as a mentor for somebody who is in dire need of life guidance. Whatever it is, as long as it is from the heart and done with good intentions, you will realize a good change in yourself and get a general better state of being.
- Full body rejuvenation – It may sound costly, but regular spa breaks can help your blood circulate and your keep your muscles relaxed, keeping you feeling refreshed through busy days. It also keeps you feeling rewarded for all the hard efforts you make through your career journey. It is important to reward yourself to keep yourself from burning out.
